Hybrid battery charges within 20 seconds

An incredible high-performance battery technology is claimed to have been developed by a little-known company from Singapore. Some may have heard about AVEVAI from Singapore where the company debuted their high range commercial EV models, IONA Van & IONA Truck, at the Guangzhou International Auto Show in 2018. In recent months, the former R&D department of AVEVAI, have debuted as a new company, EVES, with their "soon to be launched" EVES Hybrid Battery Technology. EVES is confident that their new Hybrid Battery Technology, EHBT, has solved all main fundamental problems of e-mobility and energy storage today, which are high cost, weight issues, charging infrastructure, charging duration, life cycle and safety. From their testing of 12v 40Ah EHB prototypes, the EHB have reached results of astonishing energy density of 680 wh/kg, 20 second charging with weight of less than 800 gm and provides 10,000 cycles.
 
The EHB consists of supercapacitor and lithium ion cells connected with revolutionary EVES patented controller chip, resulting in less raw material usage and intelligent energy distribution.
 
 
Using a lithium ion battery combined with supercapacitor, the hybrid battery cells are protected from hazardous events such as fire because the chip itself will regulate the heating, charging and discharging of the cell. The technology can also be used with lead acid battery, which is more environmentally friendly and can be recycled at the end of life.
 
EVES hybrid battery cells can be packed into an electric vehicle battery module, allowing the vehicle to safely charge at a never reached rate today for EVs on the market. The battery can be charged on regular 220V wall power socket, eliminating existing and future superchargers.
 
Dr. Bayaraa, graduate of Tokyo University in Electrical Engineering and the CTO of EVES, said: "Our main goal is to make ESS which is lighter and cheaper to produce, and be able to store more energy. To achieve worldwide shift to e-mobility, EVs must outperform the petrol and diesel vehicles, not only in requiring time spent to charge as it does to fill a tank with fuel, but also in offering the similar pricing as conventional vehicles. While the advantages of our EHB technology will eventually impact the EV and ESS market, another goal involves the medical equipment and hospitals, so that these devices and ESS can be charged in a few seconds and to last full working day. "
 
The company plans to launch their range of batteries after certification and other necessary documentation prior to the Official Launch to the market.
